What is Loxa?

Loxa is ECatering's product protection partner. Loxa specialises in appliance protection and extended warranty solutions, and manages policy administration and claims handling from end to end through its specialist claims and repair network.

Loxa Product Protection covers your appliance against accidental damage and faults not typically covered by the manufacturer's warranty. This includes events such as drops, spills, cracks, and electrical or mechanical breakdown. It also extends your cover beyond the manufacturer's warranty period, so your appliance stays protected for longer against common causes of failure.

If your appliance is damaged by an insured event, you may be eligible for repair or replacement, so you're not left out of pocket. Loxa offers a straightforward claims process designed to be simple and low-stress, giving you peace of mind if your appliance develops a fault or suffers accidental damage during the cover period.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

Who can take out a Loxa Product Protection plan?

To be eligible, you must be at least 18 years old and a UK resident. Cover is available to both personal and business customers. Cover does not apply to appliances kept permanently in short-let properties, rental accommodation let to third parties, or subletting arrangements.

How do I purchase Loxa Product Protection?
  • You can add Loxa Product Protection on the product page when viewing an eligible appliance, or at checkout.
  • Loxa Product Protection must be purchased individually for each appliance, including multiple quantities of the same model.
When does cover start and how long does it last?

Your Loxa cover starts from the date shown on your protection plan certificate. The exact cover duration is confirmed in your policy schedule issued after purchase.

Damage in transit or delivery issues are handled by ECatering under our delivery and returns process, not under the Loxa protection plan.

Where can I find my policy documents?

Your policy documents, wording, and certificate are sent by email after purchase. They can also be accessed at any time through the Loxa customer portal at app.loxacover.com/login, included in your confirmation message.

If you can't find your confirmation email, please check your spam or junk folder.

How can I cancel or change my Loxa Product Protection?

You can cancel your protection within the first 30 days for a full refund, provided no claim has been made.

After 30 days, you can still cancel and receive a pro-rata refund based on the unused portion of your cover, again provided no claim has been made.

To cancel or update your details, use the Loxa customer portal link in your confirmation email or follow the instructions in your policy documents.

What if I return my appliance?

If you return your appliance within ECatering's return window, you can also request cancellation and refund of your Loxa Product Protection plan, subject to the policy terms.

How do I make a claim?

Start your claim at www.loxacover.com/start-a-claim or use the link in your policy confirmation email. The online form guides you step by step, and the claims team will confirm the next steps, which may include repair, replacement, store credit or a monetary settlement depending on the outcome and policy terms.

Please note that a claim must be notified to Loxa within 30 days of the incident. Keep your purchase receipt and any requested evidence to hand, as this helps us process your claim quickly

I purchased multiple appliances. How do I know which plan applies?

Each Loxa protection plan is linked to a specific appliance. Your policy schedule shows the covered item details, so you can easily match each plan to the correct appliance.

How do I get support?

For support with your Loxa Product Protection, use the contact details and support link provided in your Loxa confirmation email and policy documents. The Loxa customer support team can help with policy questions, updates, and general enquiries.

For questions about your manufacturer's warranty, delivery, or your ECatering order, please contact our team directly.

What is not covered by Loxa Product Protection?

Loxa Product Protection does not cover:

  • Theft or loss
  • Cosmetic damage that does not affect how your appliance works
  • Normal wear and tear or gradual deterioration
  • Any damage that occurred before the protection plan started
  • Damage caused by not following the manufacturer's instructions
  • Flooding or repeated liquid exposure
  • Claims by residents of the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man

This is a summary of the main exclusions. Please refer to your Policy Wording for the full list.

Where am I covered?

Cover applies throughout the United Kingdom, including Northern Ireland. You are also covered while abroad on trips lasting up to 180 days. Residents of the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man are not eligible for cover under this policy.

Is there a limit on how many claims I can make?

You can make multiple claims up to the cover limit shown on your policy schedule. If you receive three repairs within any 12-month period, your protection plan will end, even if the cover limit has not yet been reached. A successful full replacement will also end the plan, as this uses up the sum insured. Your plan ends at whichever of these comes first.

Can Itransfer my Loxa Product Protection to someone else?

If you sell or give away your appliance, you can transfer the protection plan to the new owner by contacting Loxa at info@loxacover.com. If the plan was purchased on behalf of someone else, it should be transferred to the end user as soon as possible, ideally within 30 days of the plan start date, so they have full access to their cover, policy documents and claims support.

How does Loxa calculate pricing?

The price of Loxa Product Protection is based on a number of factors, including the item price and the expected claim costs for that type of appliance. Prices are updated regularly, so the price may change between visits. If the price has increased, we are unfortunately unable to revert to a previous price.
