A cooker hood should have a sufficient power level to effectively remove all unwanted aromas in you kitchen, and keep the room well ventilated. Depending on the size of your kitchen, it is recommened that:

 

100 sq ft room = 200-300 CFM

100-200 sq ft room = 300-500 CFM

200-300 sq ft room = 500-800 CFM
